           3) New-Generation Teacher Education
           This programme will provide incentives to encourage quality teacher education programmes in government institutes as well as in private organizations or NGOs. Outstanding programmes will be developed at either bachelor's or master's degree levels. The new teachers from these programmes will receive a supplement salary of 5,000 Baht/month to encourage them to do innovative teaching and research. They will be given teaching positions without taking the required placement examination. Through these programmes, quality of the graduates will be assured and hence the employment and career of new generation teachers can be guaranteed.
           4) School Rating
           To encourage school administrators to promote quality teaching, rating of education quality by subjects will be carried out annually in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, Thai and English. The results will be publicized nation-wide.
           5) School Visits by Leading Thai Professionals
           To link education in schools with the real world, leading Thai professionals will be invited to visit schools for 1-2 days to meet with students, teachers and administrators. Reports on the visits will be submitted by both the visitors and the school administrators.
8.3 Quality of Learning : From Theories to Practices
           The Centre for Teaching-Learning Development has been established with an aim to introduce educational innovations leading to reform of learning as a way towards quality of education. The Centre is responsible for the development of teaching-learning process and to develop in learners desirable characteristics according to the objectives of the curricula.
           In 1997, the Centre launched a project for teaching-learning development to search for new methods of learning and provide suggestions for the improvement of educational quality. Following the implementation of the project, basic concepts in teaching-learning process were suggested and five learning models were presented by various experts : Happy Learning, Participatory Learning, Thinking Process,
